Infant – 5th Grade

Vineyard Community Church cares for the entire family.  Therefore, children are an essential part of the ministry!  Jesus recognized the importance of children, placing great value on them.  We are eager to support and encourage parents in raising healthy, loving children who know Jesus as a friend and Savior.

Nursery available for 3 month olds to 3 year olds

Caring volunteers staff our spatious nursery. The Nursery is available after the song portion of our service.

Pre-School

This ministry serves kids 3 year olds thru Kindergarten. Faithful teachers teach them about God with fun, interactive and biblically based material.

Jr. Church

This exciting ministry serves kids ages 1st grade thru 5th grade. A team of dedicated volunteers who love kids teaches the children the truths of God’s Word and help them apply it.  Curriculum is creative and fun and always centers on Jesus and the truth of the bible.

Both the classes and the Nursery meet on Sunday mornings following the singing portion of our worship service.

We use a simple “three strikes and you’re out” discipline policy in our classes. A disruptive child is warned twice about their disruptive behavior and if a third warning is needed, that child is sent back to their parents. This policy has worked very well for us at the Vineyard.

Middle School/High School

Teenagers learn and grow to love and know God in a safe, fun, and loving environment. The Youth meet on a weekly basis on Sunday Mornings after the song portion of our service. The last Sunday of every month, the teens stay in the regular service.

Our youth leaders are:
Michelle Smith: 574-721-7124
Paul Veldhuizen: 574-686-3110

Small Group Ministry

Adult Small Groups have been a vital part of the church from day 1. Groups of 10 – 12 meet in homes to fellowship, worship, learn from the Bible and pray for one another. Each group has a host and leader. Small groups operate on a fall and spring semester basis with shorter small groups occurring in the summer months.

Prayer Ministry

  1. At the Vineyard we have small team who have devoted themselves to pray for the church, community and nation.
  2. There are also monthly prayers gatherings where individuals are led to seek God for personal and congregational renewal.
  3. Finally, there is a team trained to pray for and minister to those in need during our Sunday morning celebrations.
